We are excited to share our latest innovation in our efforts to end homelessness. Padmission is our new web-based housing search platform custom-built for our housing program participants, their case managers and landlords.

HOW PADMISSION WORKS Padmission is like other online housing search services in that it allows landlords to list and market their properties to prospective tenants. The difference with Padmission is that it is a closed platform just for the Family Promise housing programs. This will make the housing search process much easier and faster for everyone.

PADMISSION FEATURES AND FUNCTIONALITY LANDLORDS List properties and available rental units with information that includes: • Property Address • Floorplan information, including square footage and bedroom/bathroom configuration • Numbers of units available by size • Rent, deposit and fee requirements • Utility responsibilities • Amenities and facilities • HOM housing programs accepted • Pictures • Marketing remarks and specials or concessions

Dear Family Promise of Monroe County Family, As a community organization, we strive to do everything we can to preserve the safety and health of our guests, volunteers, staff and community. While we have not had any confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 among anyone connected to our organization, we are monitoring the developments of the COVID-19 virus very closely. We have decided to implement a social distancing plan for Family Promise of Monroe County. The purpose of this plan is to protect the health of our guests, staff, volunteers and community as a whole and to play our part to slow the spread of this virus in our community. The plan outlined below will go into effect starting today, Thursday, March 19, 2020, and will extend until May 1, 2020. Please monitor our website for the most up-to-date information. Phase 1 – Social Distancing Plan – Actions Family Promise is Taking:

  1. Churches: While our families are not the most at-risk populations for this virus, many of our church volunteers are. In an effort to protect our volunteers and church partners, there will not be families staying in local churches during this time. In the meantime, we continue to assist homeless and at-risk families through local community partners.

  2. Volunteers: All volunteer activities are be suspended until at least May 1, 2020. We will still need food pickups and deliveries to continue and specific volunteers have already been recruited for this purpose. Should we need additional volunteers, we will reach out over email.

  3. Guests: We continue to provide shelter off-site of the day center for children and their families experiencing a housing crisis at this time.

  4. Shelter Staff: Our amazing staff is our biggest asset as an organization and we want to do everything we can to ensure they and their families stay healthy. Shelter staff members are working remotely and are available to assist families in need. Continue to call the office at (570) 420-8589, leave a message and a case manager will return your call.

  5. Community: While volunteer opportunities are limited, we need our community now more than ever. Here are four ways you can help:

A . Give Financially: This transition will increase costs for Family Promise of Monroe County, so your financial support during this time period will be significant. Please feel free to donate online at:

  1. Supply Donations: We are in need of specific supplies for cleaning, sanitation, and infant care during this time. Please check back with us to keep track of updated needs requests.

  2. Be Kind and Pray: We ask that you be kind to one another and pray for our neighbors and community during this time. This is an unprecedented effort, the likes of which I haven’t seen before in my lifetime. We have not been given a spirit of fear, but a spirit of hope. Let’s provide hope during this time. Together, we can meet this challenge as a community.

Family Promise Leadership team will update the community on when we will be able to to return to normal operations. Please monitor our website for the most up-to-date information. Sincerely, Enid Logan Executive Director Family Promise of Monroe County
