Since 2007, Family Promise of Monroe County has provided emergency shelter, meals, homelessness prevention and stabilization services, and critical case management to ensure nearly 1,000 families locate and remain in stable housing. Since 2018, Family Promise has provided the same services in Pike County, assisting almost 40 households in its first year.
KEEPING FAMILIES TOGETHER
We believe families should stay together — not be separated — during the most difficult times in their lives.
In Monroe County 100% of the families in our shelter program, who secure permanent housing, remain in independent housing one year after leaving shelter.
Collectively across all the Monroe and Pike counties, we mobilize more than 600 dedicated volunteers who make a tremendous difference in families’ lives—and in their communities.
For every dollar invested, we return $3 in donated goods and services.
Our volunteers don’t stop at shelter, meals, and support services. Nationwide, we have created more than 1,700 programs for housing, homelessness prevention, health care, life skills, and mentoring, among others.
